About Kate McCann

An educator since 1998, I presently teach AP Stat at U-32 Middle & HS in Montpelier. I am a NBCT in Math, 2015 recipient of PAEMST, 2017 VT TOY, 2018-19 AEF, 2021 NEA Foundation GLF,
and currently an NNSTOY Empowered Educator Voices Fellow.
I was elected to the Vermont House of Reps in 2022 and again in 2024 where I proudly serve
on the House Ed Committee. When I am not teaching, I enjoy contributing to the small business I own with my
husband and spending time with family and friends.
